The use of the name "Iyengar" is protected and may only be used by individuals and associations who are granted permission to do so. IYNAUS, through its regional associations, is responsible for granting permission to certified teachers for commercial use of the Iyengar name. In areas where there is no active regional association, the most senior teacher in the area is authorized to act on IYNAUS's behalf. In addition, a senior teacher must co-sign with the board representative for all requests made.

Please read the form carefully to be sure that you meet the requirements to use the Iyengar name in your business. These include:

• Iyengar Yoga must be the only method taught in the facility.
• All teachers at these places of business must be certified or in the process of becoming certified under the supervision of a mentor or teacher-trainer.
• If these conditions change theIyengar name may no longer be used.
