Karin O'Bannon Scholarship Fund
The Karin O'Bannon Scholarship Fund awards a $1500 gift to Certified Teachers to offset expenses for study at RIMYI, There will be two awards given in 2010 and one in 2011. The deadlines for submitting applications are March 31, 2010; September 30, 2010 and March 31, 2011. If you are a Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and a member in good standing of IYNAUS, you are eligible to apply. Application forms can be downloaded here. Please remember to include a photocopy of your receipt from RIYMI, confirming your admission to the institute.
As with most not-for-profit initiatives, funding for the Karin O'Bannon Scholarship Fund has significantly decreased this year. If no other donations are received, the scholarship fund will cease in 2011. We need your help to keep this scholarship alive.
Teachers can donate to the Scholarship Fund by checking off a box when they renew their IYNAUS dues. Contributions by teachers and students can be made at any time by sending checks to: IYNAUS, Attn: Karin O'Bannon Scholarship Fund 1952 First Ave South, Suite 1B, Seattle, WA 98134
