2008 Assessment Application Process and Venues

2008 assessment applications will be handled by paper/mail as in previous years, and will not be submitted online. We anticipate that a fully-functional online application process will be in place for 2009 assessment. Due to delays in 2008 invoicing, no candidate will be disqualified from assessment because dues were not paid by January 1st.

General members applying for Teacher in Training assessment should renew with their regional association by February 1st to allow time for their renewal to be processed.

Please follow all normal procedures required, and send the completed forms to IYNAUS ASSESSMENT at 543 Candler St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30307. Applications must be received by May 1st, 2008. Do not send any mail that needs a signature.

Ordering the 2008 Certification Manual

Note: A candidate for certification must be a current member of IYNAUS or an Iyengar Yoga regional association. The candidate's membership must be on file at the beginning of the year in which the assessment is to take place and all dues and Teachers' Renewal Fees (if owed) must be fully paid. Certified teachers (Introductory and higher) must be current in their Dues, Yoga Rahasya subscription and Certification Mark fees.

 

All those applying for IYNAUS certification are required to obtain a copy of the Certification Manual for the year they are being assessed. The Certification Committee hopes that the Manual will make the assessment process clear so that you understand what the standards are, what you are responsible for knowing and how you will be assessed. A full set of application, mentor's and recommendation forms come with all Certification Manual orders until the assessment deadline (May 1st).

IYNAUS membership is a pre-requisite for ordering the manual.
